Lightweight.
LOW-PROFILE.

Uncompromised engineering helps deliver the world’s first titanium brace striking a balance of weight, strength and profile.

Accelerated Comfort

Cushioning cells help absorb shock, while aiding stability and proper fit.

Environmental Protection

Anti-microbial coating helps neutralize odor while helping to increase comfort and soft goods longevity.

Freedom to Perform

Aerodynamic integration of liners helps reduce overall profile which which aids in facilitating comfort, speed and cadence.

Four points of leverage™

The rigid anterior thigh and posterior calf cuffs combined with a specific strapping sequence, provide four-points-of-leverage shown to help decrease ACL strain by at least 50%.1,3

  1. Anterior thigh anchor
  2. Posterior tibia anchor
  3. Lower thigh strap helps push femur anteriorly
  4. Anterior tibia strap applies an active constant load to help prevent anterior tibial translation

Fourcepoint™ hinge

Resistance engages in the last 25° of extension helping to keep the knee out of the at-risk position.

Decreases peak posterior ground reaction force (PPGRF) during stop jump task landing and side cutting activities2

Increased flexion angles14

No significant performance limitations were associated with knee bracing with FourcePoint hinge technology2

Training effects retained by about 50% while not wearing the brace (when training with FourcePoint hinge technology)15

protection to perform

DonJoy® ligament knee braces have been shown to help IMPROVE JOINT MECHANICS and SYMMETRY between both knees and up to a 60% DECREASE in non-contact ACL injury rate in both knees.10

  • A person who has torn their ACL has 15X greater risk of a 2nd ACL injury (during initial 12-months after ACL reconstruction)8
  • 50% of all ACL injuries occur in 15 to 25 year olds9
  • In all sports Women are 2 to 10X more likely to injure their ACL6
  • Bracing helps reduce ACL Re-injury by 3x while skiing 7
  • Non-contact sports account for 60%–80% of ACL injuries 10
  • ACL injury to the contralateral knee risk is 2X that of the reconstructed knee. (all sports)11

If a patient re-ruptures a reconstructed ACL while wearing a properly fitted DonJoy A22® , Defiance® , Armor FourcePoint™ or FULLFORCE™ within one year of purchase, DJO Global® will pay a surgical insurance deductible.

I was devastated when I tore my ACL last Winter playing basketball. I underwent surgery in mid March 2016 and then started the long 6 month rehab. My true love is softball and my high school season started before I was released, but with the help of my athletic trainer and the titanium brace I was able to slip right back into my starting catcher position on our varsity team. I was honored to be chosen for first team all districts and all region post season. We ended the season in the Quarterfinals. Thanks to my DonJoy brace I was able to go right back to what I love.”

I began my journey with DJO Global with the Defiance brace. The Defiance brace brought me strength, confidence and support. I was wearing the Defiance brace to help me recover from ACL and meniscus repair surgery. With the Defiance brace I felt I could run father, harder and with more confidence. While visiting DJO Global, I was introduced to the A22. The A22 is just what I needed. Like the Defiance brace, the A22 offers support, strength and confidence, but with a great deal less weight and bulkiness. Though the A22 is slimmer, you do not lose any strength or stability. I honestly forget I am wearing the A22 as I run or go through a major workout session. As I continue on my journey to be the best I can be, the A22 will definitely help me reach that destination." ”
