DJO Mexico - Tijuana, Mexico
|
The modern DJO Mexico plant in Tijuana was built in late 2004 and covers 225,000 square feet. Adjacent to the plant is a new 60,000 square foot distribution center that ships worldwide daily.
Most of DJO’s production is organized in lean manufacturing cells. In the lean cellular type production, each person is cross-trained to perform most or all functions in the cell. This highly effective team concept ensures that quality is built into every step of the manufacturing process with the least amount of wasted time and energy. Most cell teams build products to actual customer demand, allowing shipment within hours of order placement.
Our DJO Mexico facility earned the ranking of #16 of all businesses in Mexico, and #2 of all manufacturers in Mexico in the Great Places to Work award program for 2008. |
